travel asia china hong kong hong kong victoria peak around the peak
The area at the top of Victoria Peak has changed quite a bit since our first visit in 1991.
Now, the Peak Tower (or "Wok") has been expanded, a paved plaza in front has been added, and a large structure housing shops and restaurants
now balances the Peak Tower on the south side of the plaza.
The plaza features a round synthetic grass center surrounded by brass footprints in the paving pointing distances to world cities.
There is also an old tram car that you can climb on and take photos.
The old Chinese pagoda with viewing platform still exists and provides excellent views of Hong Kong, Kowloon, and mainland China beyond.
